Porta Cieca
Recently restored with great care in the area where an original gate of the same name once stood (now lost), the recovery of a building adjacent to the walls now allows access to the historic center from Via XXIV Maggio to Piazza San Francesco through a route with staircase and elevator, passing through the sacristy of the Church of the Suffrage and the ancient “little choir” of the prisoners beneath the hanging gardens of Palazzo di Monte.
A charming alternative way to “climb” into the historic center of Monte San Savino.
Access is available continuously throughout the year and is close to the numerous parking spaces located around the town walls.
